Refresh dehydrated, dull-looking skin with NCTF® skin rejuvenation at Lips & Lines+ in Toronto. NCTF® 135 HA combines non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with ingredients including vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and coenzymes. Treatment focuses on skin hydration and fine superficial lines, rather than adding substantial facial volume. Clinical research on injectable NCTF has shown improvements in hydration, radiance, and superficial wrinkles in selected patients.

At our nurse practitioner-led clinic, we offer targeted NCTF treatments and microneedling with NCTF. Your consultation includes a skin assessment and a review of your medical history, sensitivities, and goals. We will explain the proposed method, expected results, and any off-label aspects of treatment.

NCTF®: Frequently Asked Questions

What is NCTF®?

NCTF® 135 HA is a skin-rejuvenation formulation containing non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid and a blend of other ingredients. It is designed to address skin hydration and superficial signs of aging.

What concerns can NCTF® help with?

Injectable NCTF® may improve dehydrated skin, a dull appearance, and fine superficial wrinkles. Research has evaluated treatment of crow’s feet, neck lines, and décolletage wrinkles. It does not replace treatment for substantial volume loss or significant skin laxity.

Is NCTF® the same as dermal filler?

NCTF® contains hyaluronic acid, but its formulation and treatment goals differ from volumizing fillers. It primarily targets skin quality and hydration, while structural fillers are used to enhance contours or replace lost volume.

Can NCTF® be used around the eyes?

The manufacturer describes use in the periorbital area, and clinical studies have assessed fine lines around the eyes.

Will NCTF® remove under-eye bags or fill deep hollows?

NCTF® should not be expected to remove protruding fat pads or correct significant hollowing.

What is the difference between NCTF® injections and NCTF® microneedling?

Injections place small amounts of NCTF® directly into the skin. Microneedling creates controlled microchannels while the product is applied during treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

The manufacturer’s instructions describe an initial course of three injection sessions, approximately 14 days apart when injected directly into the skin. Your provider may adjust the plan according to your skin, treatment method, and response.

When will I see results?

Changes develop over the treatment course. A clinical study found improvements in hydration after the series, with wrinkle and radiance improvements assessed over subsequent weeks and months. Results are individual and not guaranteed.

How often will I need maintenance?

Maintenance may be considered approximately every four to six months, depending on your response and ongoing concerns. Your provider will reassess your skin before recommending further treatment.

Will I have bumps after NCTF® injections?

Small raised bumps can occur where the product is placed and usually settle as it disperses. Redness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising may also occur. Recovery varies, particularly around the eyes.

What are the possible risks?

Risks include injection-site reactions, bruising, infection, and allergic or inflammatory reactions. Microneedling also carries risks such as pigment changes and scarring.

Who may not be suitable for NCTF®?

The manufacturer lists pregnancy, breastfeeding, allergy to ingredients, skin infection in the treatment area, and a history of autoimmune disease or immunotherapy.
