Below you’ll find personalized aftercare guidelines for each of our services. Please follow them closely to ensure a smooth recovery and the best results. You can also download a PDF for each treatment at the end of every section.
Botox Aftercare Instructions
✅ What to Do
Stay upright for 4–6 hours after treatment.
Move your facial muscles (smile, frown, raise eyebrows) 10x for the first hour to help the Botox settle.
Apply a cold pack if needed to reduce swelling or bruising
❌ What to Avoid
No lying down or bending over for at least 4 hours post-treatment.
Do not touch, rub, or massage the treated area for 4 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and hot yoga for 24 hours.
No makeup or skincare products over the treated area for at least 4 hours.
No alcohol or blood thinners (like omegas or Advil) for 24 hours as these can increase bruising.
No facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion for at least 7 days.
📝 What to Expect
Mild redness, swelling, or bruising at injection sites is common and should subside in a few days.
Results typically begin to show within 5-7 days, with full effects visible at 14 days.
Results last 3–4 months.
Some patients can experience a mild headache after the treatment or when the Botox first really starts working.
📞 When to Contact Us
If you experience:
Signs of infection (such as warmth, pus, or fever)
Vision problems such as blurred or double vision
Drooping of the eyelid or eyebrow
Difficulty speaking, swallowing, or breathing
Follow-up appointments may be scheduled at or after 2 weeks to assess your results and make any necessary adjustments.
Dermal Filler Aftercare Instructions
✅ What to Expect
After filler is injected, you may experience bruising, redness, and swelling. This is normal and typically starts to improve within 24–48 hours.
Final results are visible after 1-3 weeks.
Depending on the areas treated and the product used, you may feel the product feels “firm”. Don’t worry this will soften and settle over 1-3 weeks.
If you develop a bruise, avoid blood-thinning agents like:
Alcohol
Omega-3 supplements
Advil (ibuprofen)
These can prolong bruising which may take up to 2 weeks to fade.
✅ What to Do
Apply an icepack to the area to reduce swelling and discomfort—10 minutes every hour as needed for the first day.
❌ What to Avoid
For the first 24–48 hours:
No touching, itching, massaging, or picking around the injection site
Avoid makeup on the treated area for 24 hours (reduces infection risk)
Avoid active skincare products (e.g., AHAs, Glycolic Acid, Retinoids)
Avoid strenuous exercise, heat exposure, saunas, and hot tubs for 24-48 hours
For 2 weeks post-treatment:
No dental work or teeth cleaning ❌ (this can increase the risk of infection)
No facials, peels, lasers, or massages
No routine vaccinations
📞 When to Contact Us
Please contact us immediately if you notice:
Severe discoloration (if the area looks pale, white, or dark purple/gray)
Signs of infection (Redness, warmth, or an "angry" appearance in the treated area), especially if accompanied by acne-like pustules.
Numbness or visual changes (double vision, lack of vision)
Cold sores if you are prone to them and did not receive a preventative prescription
👄 Special Instructions for Lip Fillers
If you had lip filler:
Begin gently massaging your lips after three days 2x per day for 1 minute each time, for 1 week to help those gorge lips settle!
For all other areas:
❌ Do not massage unless specifically instructed by your provider.
Clear + Brilliant Laser Aftercare Instructions
✅ What to Do
Cleanse gently: Wash your face twice daily with a gentle, non-exfoliating cleanser.
Moisturize: Apply a bland, hydrating moisturizer morning and night (We love La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baum). In the evening, you may also use a healing ointment such as Aquaphor® or Vaseline® to keep the skin protected and hydrated.
Sun protection is critical: Avoid all sun exposure. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 45 or higher (esp while driving). Reapply as needed throughout the day.
Recommended: Use a medical-grade Vitamin C serum post-treatment and long-term to help improve skin tone and radiance.
❌ What to Avoid
For best healing and to prevent irritation or damage:
Excessive heat for 48 hours, including:
Hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms
Intense exercise or sweating
Exfoliating and active skin care products for 1–2 weeks:
Glycolic acids
Retinoids (Retin-A)
Bleaching agents (e.g., hydroquinone)
Other procedures for 3 weeks:
Laser treatments
Chemical peels
Waxing
Microdermabrasion
📝 What to Expect
Mild side effects are normal and typically resolve within 1 week. These may include:
Redness: Can last from a few hours to a few days.
Peeling/Flaking/Dryness: Your skin may feel rough like “sandpaper” and begin to flake as the treated tissue exfoliates. .
Swelling: Especially under the eyes the morning after treatment. This typically lasts 2–3 days.
To reduce swelling:
Apply cold compresses to the treated area for 10 minutes every couple of hours while swelling persists.
PCDC Lipolysis Aftercare Instructions
✅ What to Expect After Treatment
Mild redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, itching, or small lumps are normal and usually resolve within days.
Skin in the treated area may feel firm, numb, or tender for several weeks; this improves gradually.
Numbness and reduced sensation can last several weeks to months but resolves naturally.
Swelling and bruising typically last 3–5 days, but swelling can persist up to 4–6 weeks.
✅ What to Do
Apply ice packs intermittently (10–15 minutes each hour) during the first 24 hours.
If medically appropriate, take an antihistamine on the day of treatment to reduce swelling.
❌ What Not to Do
Do not apply makeup on treated areas for 24 hours.
Do not massage, rub, or apply heavy pressure to the treated area.
Avoid intense exercise, excessive alcohol, and smoking for 24–48 hours
Avoid hot environments (hot showers, saunas, sunbathing) for 24-48 hours
Avoid blood-thinners (Omegas, Magnesium) for 3–4 days post-treatment
Avoid laser, resurfacing, or chemical peel treatments for at least 2 weeks post-treatment to reduce risk of inflammation.
📅 Follow Up and Results
A follow-up appointment is recommended 4–6 weeks after your first treatment to monitor progress and plan any further sessions.
Most patients require 2–3 treatment sessions for optimal results.
You may start seeing changes as early as 3 weeks post-treatment, with full results visible around 8 weeks.
The fat cells destroyed are permanently removed; however, future weight gain may add fat back to the area, but typically less than before treatment.

Radiesse® Hyperdilute Aftercare Instructions
✅ What to Expect
It is completely normal to experience the following after your Radiesse® treatment:
Redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising in the treated area
Swelling usually resolves within 3-5 days, but may persist for a few weeks
Treated areas may feel firm or lumpy initially; this settles as the product integrates
In some cases, you may feel or see the filler under the skin—this will improve over time
Results can take up to 12 weeks to appear, as it can take this long for the tissue to regenerate to the point of showing final visual improvements.
✅ What to Do
Apply cold compresses for 10 minutes at a time every hour to minimize swelling and discomfort
❌ What to Avoid
❌ No makeup for 24 hours post-treatment to reduce risk of infection
❌ Avoid heat exposure: no saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, tanning beds, or intense workouts for 24–48 hours
❌ Avoid alcohol and blood thinners to minimize bruising
Do not undergo facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, or microneedling for 2 weeks
💍 Hand treatments: avoid carrying heavy objects or wearing jewelry (rings/watches) until swelling subsides
📝 How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Results may be visible after one treatment, but a series of 1–3 sessions may be recommended for best results
Maintenance every 12–18 months helps preserve your outcome
